Stages of the Award

The award is split into 3 stages. Get to know them:

01 Registration

To enroll your initiative, it is necessary to complete the form available on this website, in the "Enroll your initiative" button, divided into the following sections:

1) Context

  • Tell us the context of your project. Briefly describe the reasons that led to the creation of your initiative, how it will solve problems for customers, simplify or innovate an existing process, in addition to the market context evaluated, the offer and the positioning of the main competitors for this construct.
Note: you can also share evidence of data relating to the start of the initiative.

2) Development

  • How was the project strategy developed? Which areas were mobilized to build the initiative?
  • Describe how the project was carried out from the beginning to the implementation, establishing - what were the main difficulties, challenges and learnings, in addition to explaining how the use of data was undertaken, whether for decision making, experimentation, tests, methodologies and/or participation of external consulting.

3) Results

  • What are the main observable results of this initiative? What was the differentiator compared to the competition, and what was the impact for the customer, the market, and for Itaú?
Describe the results of this initiative: they may be financial, related to customer satisfaction, reduction of complaints, risk mitigation, efficiency, etc. Additionally, indicate and describe whether there was a significant differentiator compared to competitors, prioritization/withdrawal decisions, structured use of Artificial Intelligence, and/or essential collaboration between different areas and businesses that made delivery possible.
Note: you must share data evidence regarding the initiative. Only initiatives that have been implemented and demonstrate observable results (proven up to the month prior to the start of registrations) will be accepted.

Important: always be simple. Remember that, in order to be increasingly "One Itaú", the understanding must be the same for everyone, including those who do not have technical knowledge on the subject – which also applies to evaluators. Avoid the use of acronyms and abbreviations.

4) Leadership and participants

  • Up to 10 participants may be registered, including the initiative leader. After registration, it will not be possible to change the registration form, project leadership, and/or initiative participants, except for reasons of dismissal, leave, or absence.

02 Evaluation

The evaluation is composed of the following phases:

1) Executive Committee Evaluation (CE):

Implemented since 2023, at this stage the initiatives are validated by the Executive Committee and the People Consulting of each division.

The committees may also submit, modify, merge, and/or eliminate initiatives, through nomination, within the five categories of the Award.

2) Technical Panel:

Validation of the initiatives’ results by the Finance, Audit, and Investor Relations areas.

3) Screening (Partners):

Itaú’s local partners (up to the superintendent level) evaluate the initiatives online, assigning transversal criteria to each initiative: relevant competitive differentiator, prioritization/withdrawal decisions, structured use of Artificial Intelligence, and/or collaboration between different areas and businesses. The five initiatives with the highest ratings in each category move on to the next stage.

4) Semifinal:

The directors (except holding company partners) watch the presentation videos of the semifinalist initiatives. Afterwards, the initiative representatives answer any questions.

Through a secret and individual vote, the three highest‑rated initiatives in each category are selected and move on to the next stage.

5) Final:

The evaluation group, composed of the Executive Committee, Pedro Moreira Salles, Roberto Setúbal, and the holding company partners, watches the presentation videos of the finalist initiatives. Afterwards, the initiative representatives answer any questions.

Through a secret and individual vote, the winners of each category are chosen.
